There was a flurry of criticism for the state of the pitch during the Cork hurlers clash with Wexford on Sunday
The playing surface at Cork GAA HQ has been deemed 'unacceptable' in a statement issued on behalf of Coiste Contae Chorcaí & Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
This followed heavy criticism in relation to the state of the pitch during Cork's clash with Wexford in the Allianz National Hurling League on Sunday.
The statement cites 'heavy pitch-side traffic, associated with the construction works for the new stadium build' as the main reason for the problem.
Cork's meeting with Clare in the league scheduled for February 16th will now be played at Páirc Uí Rinn.
