KINSALE brothers David and Conor Harte get their Olympic Games adventure underway tomorrow afternoon when the Irish men’s hockey team take on India this Saturday, August 6th, at 3pm Irish time.

This is the first of five Group B games for the Kinsale twins (28) and the Green Machine, as they look to upset the odds, finish in the top four and qualify for the knock-out stages (quarter-finals).

David, officially the world’s best hockey goalkeeper, is the captain of the Irish team, while Conor is a defender. Both brothers made their international debut together for Ireland ten years ago this month.

The Ireland men’s hockey team is the only team that will represent Ireland at the Olympics, they are also the first Irish hockey team to compete at an Olympics since 1908 and the first team of any sport to represent Ireland at an Olympic Games since 1948.
