CORK ladies football manager Joe Carroll has shaken up his management team ahead of the 2026 season.

With coach James McCarthy (Castlehaven) and selector Brian McCarthy (Clann na nGael) stepping back from the set-up, Carroll has introduced new faces to his backroom team.

‘James McCarthy and Brian McCarthy have both stepped back. They are being replaced by Chris Hannon from St Val’s – he has been over them for the past three years – and Seán Ó Cuill from Naomh Abán, who has been involved in ladies football for quite a while. They both know ladies football very well,’ Carroll told The Southern Star.

‘We have a few backroom changes also – Ciara O’Callaghan is coming in as nutritionist, Stephanie Doherty as psychologist, and Ross Howell from Douglas is our new strength and conditioning coach.’

Bantry Blues’ Anne O’Grady, as well as Valerie Mulcahy, Tadhg Buckley, and Anne Walsh (FLO), all remain part of Ryan’s management team as he prepares for the Rebels’ first season back in Division 1, following their promotion this year.
