JOAN Healy set her second 60m personal best within a week as she finished second at the Nantes Métropole Indoor in France.

The Bandon AC sprinter clocked a new PB of 7.34, shaving three hundredths of a second off the PB of 7.37 she had set at the opening round of the Athletics Ireland National Indoor Leagues the previous weekend.

This new PB moves Joan to sixth on the all-time Irish women’s 60m list and brings her closer to the qualifying standard of 7.30 for the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in March – and 7.30 is also the national record.

Before this season Joan’s 60m PB was 7.41 so she has already taken two huge jumps in the right direction as she moves closer to the national record.
