Cork injury news ahead of Sunday's McGrath Cup semi-final away to Waterford.

FINTAN Goold is an injury concern for Cork ahead of Sunday’s McGrath Cup semi-final away to Waterford, as Rebel football boss Brian Cuthbert told The Southern Star on Wednesday.

‘I’d still be a bit anxious about Fintan Goold. He has a calf problem. He was supposed to play last Sunday (against Tipperary) but got injured on the Friday night beforehand,’ Cuthbert said.

‘Michael Cussen came off at half time with an injury and there are one or two others who are carrying knocks as well.’

On the flip side, Cuthbert added: ‘Paul Kerrigan is back (today) from a holiday in New Zealand, Paddy Kelly is back training, Daniel Goulding will be back training in the next few weeks so it’s getting stronger the whole time and we are moving towards where we want to be.’
