GENE O’Donovan is the new Carbery senior football manager.
The experienced Skibbereen man succeeds Colm Aherne in the hot-seat, as the division plans for the 2026 county championship.
The former O’Donovan Rossa manager – he held that role from 2022 to the end of the 2024 season – has assembled an experienced backroom team that includes Micheál ‘Haulie’ O’Sullivan (Carbery Rangers), Brian McCarthy (Clann na nGael), Noel Griffin (Kilbrittain), John Dineen (St Colum’s) and Sean O’Donovan (Kilmeen), while Michael O’Donovan on stats is also involved.

In the 2025 divisions/colleges senior football championship, Carbery lost 7-11 to 1-18 against Muskerry.
