AFTER their Six Nations debuts for the Ireland women’s team during the recent campaign, Skibbereen’s Enya Breen and Urhan’s Laura Sheehan have made an instant impact back at club level with UL Bohs.

Both West Cork women played prominent roles as UL Bohs won the Women’s All-Ireland Cup for a record sixth time after a 17-5 win against Blackrock College in Ashbourne.

Sheehan’s first-half try got UL Bohs on their way and a second try from Aine Staunton in the second half was enough to see the Limerick team get the better of a Dublin outfit that they will meet again in the Women’s All-Ireland League in the weeks ahead.

In the recent Six Nations Sheehan scored a try on her debut in the competition against Italy while 19-year-old Breen made her Ireland senior debut against France and then played against Wales too.

Meanwhile, in local action Dunmanway were defeated 26-24 by Ennis in the Munster Junior Bowl final.
