CORK fans can look forward to camogie/hurling and men’s/ladies football double headers this summer.

Munster GAA have announced their partnership with Munster Camogie and Munster LGFA again in 2026 to provide curtain-raisers for four of their Munster senior hurling and football championship games. Three of them are directly involving Cork.

On Sunday, April 19th, FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles will host clashes as the Cork hurlers and camogie players take on Tipperary at 4pm and 2pm respectively.

There is a possibility of another double header involving the Rebels, provided the camogie team beat Tipp. On Sunday, April 26th, SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh hosts Limerick v Cork or Tipperary in camogie (12pm) and Cork v Limerick in hurling (2pm).

On Sunday, May 10th, the Munster men’s football final takes place and if it’s Kerry v Cork, the game will take place in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney (1.45pm). That game will be preceded by the ladies football clash between Kerry and Cork (11.45am).

‘The inclusion of four curtain-raisers ahead of our Munster Senior Hurling and Football Championship games once again highlights the strong and growing partnership between our respective organisations,’ Munster GAA Chairman Tim Murphy said.

‘It is very pleasing to see this initiative continue into 2026, and we are committed to further strengthening the connection between our games in the years ahead.’

Munster Camogie Chairperson Christine Ryan is looking forward to what lies in store.

‘Our players relish the opportunity to perform on Munster championship matchdays, experiencing the unique atmosphere of packed stadiums. These occasions play a vital role in raising the profile of camogie and showcasing our game to an even wider audience,’ she explained.

Lorraine Royle, Munster LGFA President concurs.

‘This continued partnership is an important acknowledgement of the talent, commitment, and growing profile of our players. We are particularly pleased that our round three clash - Kerry v Cork, will feature as a showcase fixture ahead of the Munster Football Final. We sincerely thank Munster GAA for their ongoing support and collaboration in promoting and elevating ladies’ football across the province.’
