THE freshly rebranded Carbery Group Junior Hurling and Football Leagues will burst into life with an action-packed programme of games this weekend.
At the recent launch held at Carbery Group’s HQ in Ballineen, chairman of the Carbery Group Vincent O’Donovan spoke of his pride that two Carbery institutions – Carbery Group and Carbery GAA – were coming together in this rebrand of the division’s football and hurling leagues.
‘We are delighted to be in a position to support the GAA locally in West Cork,’ O’Donovan explained.

‘Given that both groups were historically engrained in all that is good and great in West Cork, the marriage of these two great groups is the perfect one.’
Carbery GAA Chairman David Whyte thanked the Carbery Group for their ‘very kind sponsorship’ of the division’s leagues, as well as Carbery’s senior football and hurling teams.
