IT was another productive weekend for Carbery camogie players on the Cork U23 and underage inter-county panels.

Jerry Wallace’s Cork U23s are through to this year’s Munster U23 camogie decider after a one-point win over Limerick in Cappamore on Sunday. That outcome has set up a Munster final meeting with Tipperary.

Amy Sheppard (1-6), Eimear Duggan, Emily O’Donoghue (0-2 each), Ciara Morrison and Aoife Byrne O’Riordan (0-1 each) scores cemented a narrow 1-12 to 1-11 victory.

The Cork U15A and U15B squads got their respective Munster Camogie Development League seasons underway last weekend.

On Saturday, the Rebels were pushed to the pin of their collars before seeing off Clare 4-15 to 4-12 at Fr.Mac Park in Ennis.

The following afternoon, Mallow GAA’s Complex hosted the Cork U15Bs Munster Development League opener at home to Galway. A terrific display delivered a 4-8 to 2-5 Rebels triumph.

Carbery’s representatives on the 2026 Cork U15 development set-up include Aoife Harte, Kate Collins, Megan O’Regan, Niamh Doyle (all Barryroe), Clodagh Kearney, Michaela Coholan (both Courcey Rovers), Ella Haughney (Clonakilty), Isabelle Harrington (Bandon) and Lily Ustanowski (Kilbrittain-Timoleague). Annabelle Nolan, Muireann Holland (both Valley Rovers) and Hollie O’Sullivan (Kinsale) are also involved.

Cork and Tipperary’s Eir All-Ireland U16A Championship clash ended in a 1-14 to 2-7 win for the Premier county at Castle Road on Sunday.

Clonakilty’s Ailbhe Byerley netted one of Cork’s goals with Isabelle O’Callaghan (1-1) also finding the net. Alas, those efforts along with additional Ava Kenneally (0-3), Éabha Lynch, Niamh O’Connor and Ellie Cafferkey (0-1 each) scores weren’t enough to prevent defeat.

Cork will look to rebound in their next outing, a fourth round Eir All-Ireland U16A Championship fixture away to Waterford on Sunday, March 22nd. Carbery’s players on the Cork U16A panel include Kate O’Mahony (Kilbrittain-Timoleague), Amy Walsh (Enniskeane), Ailbhe Byerley, Aoife White and Saoirse Gilmore (all Clonakilty).

The Rebels U16Bs produced an excellent team display to see off their Galway counterparts last Saturday.

Bouncing back from their Munster U16B defeat to Limerick, Cork registered a superb 3-13 to 0-10 win. Julie Canty (Newcestown) and Anne O’Leary (Bandon) are Carbery’s players on Cork’s U16B set-up and will hope to feature against Kilkenny and Tipperary in their county’s remaining round-robin fixtures.

Also, Cork were crowned Munster Camogie U17 Development League champions thanks to victory over Limerick in Fethard on Saturday.

The Rebels built a commanding opening half lead, 0-10 to 1-1, before confirming their league title success with an equally impressive second half display. Cork ran out convincing 2-15 to 3-4 winners. Ballinascarthy’s Amber Bishop is the solitary Carbery camogie player on this year’s U17 panel.
