THE RCM Tarmacadam Carbery Junior B Hurling Championship final will be contested by Bantry Blues and Bandon’s second team on Saturday in Castletownkenneigh (4pm).

Both sides go into the decider having won every game they played. Ironically, Bandon received a walkover from Bantry in the round-robin stage back in early August. The Lilywhites also received a walkover from Argideen Rangers. On the pitch, Bandon beat Ballinascarthy (2-26 to 0-10) and Kilbree (0-19 to 0-14) in the round-robin before overcoming Barryroe in the semi-final (2-22 to 2-14).

Bantry, meanwhile, beat Argideen Rangers (1-31 to 1-10), Ballinascarthy (3-15 to 2-9) and Kilbree (1-14 to 0-11) in the league phase before beating Gabriel Rangers 3-15 to 3-11 in the semi-final.

Bandon have scored an average of 26.33 points per game while conceding 14.67. Bantry have scored 24.75 while conceding 14.75. Bandon might have the slight edge in attack but this is still a close one to call.

Both sides were in the junior A grade in 2024 so both will want to get their prospects back on track after relegation. The last year Bantry were in this grade was in 2023, where they won the competition.
