AHAN Gaels are into the Clona Milk Carbery U21 B Hurling Championship final after a 3-12 to 0-13 win over Kilbree in Enniskeane last Saturday.
Kilbree were 0-3 to 0-1 up after five minutes but Ahan, an amalgamation of Diarmuid Ó Mathuna and St Mary’s, rallied with 1-3 without reply.
Caolan O’Donovan was to the forefront as he pointed a free and scored the opening goal of the contest.

Kilbree did respond on 11 minutes but another goal from Gaels had them firmley in the driving seat, 2-4 to 0-4 after 15 minutes.
O’Donovan continued to show great accuracy as Ahan led 2-7 to 0-8 at the break.
Kilbree did hit the first two second-half points but Ahan kept their composure.
With quarter of an hour to go, Gaels led 2-9 to 0-11 and they powered home.
Kilbree were still in touching distance with eight minutes left, trailing 2-12 to 0-12 but a third goal for Ahan on 55 minutes sealed their final spot.
They will face either Clonakilty or Kilbrittain in the decider on Saturday, November 22nd at 2pm. This was after Clon’s home quarter-final win over Cill Mochomóg by 1-16 to 1-13 last Friday evening.
The Brewery Town led 0-4 to 0-2 early doors but Mochomóg, a Bantry and St Colum’s combination, reduced the gap to a point on 18 minutes, 0-5 to 0-4.
Clon roared into a 0-10 to 0-6 lead on 27 minutes before a goal by James Costello gave them a seven-point advantage. They got another score to make it 1-11 to 0-7 at the break.
To Mochomóg’s credit, they never gave up and clawed it back to a point on 40 minutes with 1-3 without reply.
It was Clon who powered home to the finish line though as Fionn McCarthy and Jack Byerley starred. Clon’s semi-final against Kilbrittain takes place this Sunday in Timoleague (2pm).
The U21 C grade will see Dohenys face Randal Óg in the final this Sunday (2pm) in Ahiohill after the former saw off St James by 3-16 to 3-15 in Clonakilty last weekend.

In the Bandon Co-op Junior C Football Championship semi-finals, Carbery Rangers and Gabriel Rangers progressed to the final after wins over Castlehaven and Tadhg MacCarthaigh respectively.
Ross were comfortable victors in their 3-17 to 1-9 win over the Haven in Skibbereen.
After going 0-4 to 0-3 up inside 12 minutes, an Olan Murphy goal on 14 minutes pushed Ross further ahead. Another major three minutes later through Sean O’Neill put them in a commanding position as Davy O’Donovan was accurate from frees, 2-10 to 0-7 at the break.
The result was never in doubt as the third goal was scored in stoppage time.
Gabriels’ game was a little closer as they beat Caheragh 1-13 to 0-6 in Aughaville.
The Ballydehob club were only 0-5 to 0-3 up at the break but a blistering second period saw them cruise home. They got their goal just before the end to make it 1-12 to 0-5 to complete a good performance.
The final between Ross and Gabriels takes place this Saturday (2pm) in Skibbereen.
