WOULD you like to be able to speak confidently in public? Is it something that you might need to do for work or a family event? Speaking in public is one of the world’s most common phobias but help is now at hand, in the guise of West Cork Toastmasters.
The West Cork branch of the international public speaking group springs back into action on Saturday September 1st at their regular meeting space in the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery. One of a number of Toastmasters’ groups in Co Cork, the West Cork is one of the country’s youngest clubs, but also one of its most successful. The group meets every Saturday morning in a fun and relaxing environment, with no pressure on anyone to take part.
However, many members are now engaged in the new Pathways online programme to develop various techniques from public speaking roles, to leadership skills and the new programmes even incorporate modern techniques like Skype conferencing and audio visual presentations. To learn more about Toastmasters, drop in to the Celtic Ross for the 11am-sharp meetings, any Saturday morning.
