A BARBER from the village of Ahiohill has won two top awards in the US.
Paul Mac, whose business Paul Mac Special Hair is located at Paul Street in Cork City, was the only finalist from Ireland.
He is, however, no stranger to success, having won three world titles during the course of his career.
His entry in the competition featured two contrasting looks that certainly caught the attention of the judges.
Paul won the title of World Best Barber for a rockabilly look that was inspired by Johnny Depp in Baby Cry.
The second award was for his Behind the Chair Hot Shot Hair Tattoo Shot, which is decidedly futuristic.
Paul’s success – out of a total of 215,000 entrants in all categories – is a tremendous achievement for the West Cork-born barber.
