Clonakilty Chamber of Commerce has secured well-known Cork businessman, Alf Smiddy for their annual business breakfast, which will take place in Fernhill House Hotel, on Thursday next, November 5th.  

CLONAKILY Chamber of Commerce has secured well-known Cork businessman, Alf Smiddy for their annual business breakfast, which will take place in Fernhill House Hotel, on Thursday next, November 5th.  

Alf Smiddy has most recently chaired the Cork Local Government Review Group whose report was recently published, controversially recommending a merger of Cork City and County Councils. A chartered accountant by profession, he has worked at the most senior level in the Irish and international beverage industry, having been chairman and managing director of Beamish & Crawford plc for over twelve years as well as serving on the board of its parent company, Scottish & Newcastle (UK) Ltd.

Alf Smiddy currently runs his own consulting company, which works with leadership teams and CEOs in the private and public sectors in Ireland. In addition, he is board director and chairman of a number of businesses across a range of sectors, including on-line marketing, financial services, technology, research, tourism and hospitality, agriculture and food, renewable energy, and education.
