Smart move for Ayoola who lands role with Ethan

SCHULL actress, Ayoola Smart, has landed a role in a major new feature film starring Ethan Hawke.

Ayoola's agent and the film's publicist confirmed that the talented 23-year old will be featuring in Juliet Naked alongside Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke and Chris O'Dowd. 

A representative for Los Angeles Media Fund, Apatow Productions, and Bona Fide Productions, confirmed that filming for the movie has already commenced in London and the south-east coast of the UK.

The film, which is adapted from the best-selling Nick Hornby novel, is being directed by Jesse Peretz, and is being produced by Judd Apatow and others.

It is a story about Annie, played by Byrne, who is stuck in a long-term relationship with Duncan, played by O'Dowd, who happens to be an obsessive fan of obscure rocker, Tucker Crowe, played by Ethan Hawke, with Ayoola playing Tucker's daughter, Lizzie.

The story develops when an acoustic demo of Tucker's hit record from 25 years ago surfaces and its release leads to a life-changing encounter with the elusive rocker himself. 

The role in the movie is a big career move for the Schull actress who is already becoming familiar to TV audiences through her roles on Holby City and Vera.

Ayoola, who has lived in West Cork since she was three years old, has always wanted to be an actress and she relocated to London, when she was 18, to train at the East 15 acting school, which is one of the top drama schools in the UK.
