A DUNMANWAY garden that featured on the popular Sky TV programme, Show Me Your Garden, will be open to the public on Sunday, July 12th, as part of a fundraising initiative for the Just One charity, writes Jackie Keogh.

Carmel Dullea of Tots Bar in Ballygurteen, near Clonakilty, said she was delighted when Erika Treutler and Harry Sexton agreed to open their windswept garden to the public because it would give people a chance to see their beautiful, elevated country garden and, at the same time, raise money to promote and facilitate educational opportunities for disadvantaged and marginalised children in Nepal.

The garden, which is located at Ballinacarriga, Dunmanway, will be open to the public from noon until 6pm but people might like to time their visit to coincide with a recital by the harpist, Anja Bakker, between 2pm and 4pm. For more, or to join a walk at 1.45pm on Sunday, June 28th next, as well as ‘afternoon tea’ on a donation basis, please call 023 8838783.
