Rossmore 4 visit 32 counties in 24 hours

FOUR Rossmore people undertook a fundraising round trip of all 32 counties in 32 hours.

The quartet hope to raise in excess of €3,000 for the Friends of Jamie Wall Fund. From Kilbrittain, former Cork minor and Under 21 player Jamie is in a wheelchair following an infection to his spinal column. Jamie’s mother Sheila is a member of the very Kilmeen Drama Group and it was this connection which prompted the link-up with Rossmore – as locals Vince Dullea, Shane Jennings, John Hayes and Mike Crowley to set off from Millstreet on Good Friday morning around 9am.

Courtesy of Subaru dealer, Denis and Mary Ryan, the Rossmore quartet used a Great Wall Steed for the trip. Their final port of call was in Waterford on Saturday afternoon. Refreshments awaited at Tots Pub in Ballygurteen on Saturday night.
