THE UK-based Chapterhouse Theatre Company will be performing in three venues in West Cork this summer.
Last year’s tour was an outstanding success – due in no small way to the fact that it featured Pride and Prejudice – but this year’s programme also holds great promise with classics as: The Secret Garden, The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes, The Jungle Book and Jane Eyre.
Open-air theatre lends itself perfectly to pre-show picnics, particularly when the shows are held in such attractive surroundings as Bantry House, Carriganass Castle in Kealkill, and the Glebe Gardens amphitheatre in Baltimore.
Chapterhouse will be performing in two West Cork venues in June, followed by additional performances during the month of July. The first performance, The Secret Garden, will take place at Bantry House at 7pm on Wednesday, June 24th. The second performance, The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes, will take place at Carriganass Castle in Kealkil, Bantry, at 8pm on Thursday, June 25th.
Chapterhouse will be performing The Jungle Book at the Glebe Gardens’ amphitheatre on Thursday, July 30th, as well as at Carriganass Castle on Sunday, August 2nd, followed by a performance of Jane Eyre, which will take place at Bantry House on Monday, August 3rd.
