READERS of The Southern Star have cast their votes and made their choice of their favourite picture of the past year.
The winning picture was featured after the biggest storm last Spring and was captioned: ‘A new underpass at Coosheen, Schull, photographed by Margaret McSweeney, Shanavagh, Ballydehob, as a car passes under a fallen tree just after “Hurricane Darwin” had blown over on Wednesday, February 12th.’
Margaret will receive a gift voucher for €100 and a framed copy of her winning photograph, while the winner of the €100 voucher for choosing the Readers’ Picture of the Year 2014 is Catherine Kelly, Stone House Gardens, Gullane, Clonakilty. Congratulations to all concerned.
