INSTRUCTORS and guides gathered in Wild Side Sports for the inaugural Outdoor Industry Networking Event, held to promote and support networking amongst outdoor industry professionals.
Kayaking, surfing, whale watching, bush craft, sailing and diving were all represented and there was a keen appetite among those present to work together to promote the amazing range of activities on offer in the West Cork area.
The event was attended by Margaret Murphy-O’Mahony, TD, Cllr Gillian Coughlan and Patricia Bevan from West Cork Development Partnership.
Philip Hurley, Wild Side Sports, organised the evening as a first step towards establishing a group to represent and promote the West Cork Outdoor Industry. ‘There is so much to do in West Cork and it’s time that we worked together to promote the adventure offering in the area,’ he said.
