Michael D Higgins takes 16,860 first preference votes out of a total valid poll of 30,620
Michael D Higgins topped the poll in the presidential election count in Cork South West with 16,860 first preference votes.
The number of first preference votes for Peter Casey was 6,582; Gavin Duffy 680; Joan Freeman 1,635; Sean Gallagher 2,374; and Liadh Ni Riadh 2,489.
