A FEMALE cyclist in her 60s was killed in a collision on the N28 Cork/ Ringaskiddy Rd at around 1pm today. The collision involved a tractor and a bike and the cyclist suffered serious injuries following the collision and died at the scene. The body of the woman was removed to CUH where a post mortem examination is expected to take place. The driver of the tractor was uninjured. Traffic diversions are in place and forensic collision investigators are at the scene. Traffic approaching from Shannon Park roundabout is diverted to Carrigaline and traffic from Ringaskiddy is diverted to Rapheen. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact Anglesea St Garda Station on 021-4522000 or any local Garda Station.
