BASED Newsat one of Ireland’s most iconic pubs and restaurants on the Cork to Killarney road, the Macroom-based food firm, The Farmer’s Table, is transforming the international image of the humble Irish spud.

Michael O’Riordan, proprietor of the iconic Auld Triangle bar and restaurant since the early 1970s, launched The Farmer’s Table in 2014. Today the firm has a range of baked potatoes packed full of locally-sourced, Irish traditional ingredients.

And now the company has secured new listings with Ireland’s largest retailer, Musgrave Group, to bring an expanded range of five products to an additional 33 stores, making it available in a total of 76 stores across the region.

The Farmer’s Table also served up its delicious range of filled baked potatoes at the prestigious European Technology Summit that took place in Cork City Hall on May 6th, bringing a taste of traditional, local Irish produce to over four hundred delegates.
