CORK North West Fianna Fáil TD Aindrias Moynihan has welcomed the latest roadworks taking place in Enniskeane.

‘The Enniskeane road will be safer and much easier to travel once the next round of works in completed,’ he said.

‘The works getting underway on the western side of the village, include resurfacing, drainage and a new pedestrian crossing,’ said Deputy Moynihan.

‘Cork County Council has been resurfacing the village over a number of years and now this latest section on the western side of the village is getting underway.’

Along with the resurfacing, the work will also include a pedestrian crossing near the surgery and the road to BEDA Hall.

‘The works are being done by mid-Cork on behalf of the Council and are expected to continue over the next three weeks. I’m pleased the Council are now advancing these much-needed works and it will make the area safer for pedestrians and easier for those driving through the village.’
