Four fire brigade crews, as well as ambulance crews and the gardaí, were called to the scene of a road traffic accident at Tralispean, near Skibbereen, at 5.40pm this evening.
It is understood that a car collided with a young child and that the medical crews are in attendance.
Motorists are advised to approach with caution.
