DRINAGH CO-OP is to host a Grass Reseeding Demonstration and Family Day on Wednesday, August 26th.

It will be held from 1.30pm at the Ilen Rovers GAA Grounds and at David Finn’s land. The demonstration is being organised by Drinagh Co-Op to showcase the different methods of reseeding ground.

They will show how to reseed with different machinery – plough, discer, power harrow and seeder and Vredo direct seeder. There will be a discussion on soil fertility, gras seed selection and management before and after reseeding. A number of experts will be present at the demo to provide information on best practice and tips on how to achieve a successful reseed.

There will be numerous trade stands present on the day to give information and one-to-one advice. Trade stands include grass seed, sprays, fertilizer, veterinary, heath and safety, farm machinery, fencing and nutrition.

As the reseeding demonstration is located at the Ilen Rovers GAA grounds, the GAA pitch will be available for children’s activities and there will be face painting, etc.

Food and refreshments will be provided free of charge at the event and there is plenty of parking onsite at the GAA grounds.
