Darragh special guest for West Cork Farming Awards

RTE Ear to the Ground television presenter Darragh McCullough will be the special guest at The Southern Star and Celtic Ross Hotel West Cork Farming Awards ceremon on Sunday, September 25th.

THE longest-serving reporter on RTE’s Ear to the Ground television series, Darragh McCullough, will be the special guest at The Southern Star and Celtic Ross Hotel West Cork Farming Awards ceremony, which will be held at the hotel in Rosscarbery on Sunday, September 25th.

Darragh farms on a mixed farm in Co Meath. He studied Agricultural Science in UCD and also has a Masters in Development Studies.

He also writes for the Farming Independent – of which he is deputy editor – and operates a mobile farm unit for Agri Aware that helps promote awareness among children about farming and food.

A limited number of tickets for the awards ceremony is available to buy for members of the public interested in attending, however they must be pre-booked on 023-8848722 and paid for in advance. Unreserved tickets will not be available to purchase on the day of the awards.

Details of the nominees for the second annual West Cork Farming Awards are contained in the autumn edition of the West Cork Farming magazine, which is free with this week’s Southern Star, dated September 17th.
