Could you be the man who loves Sinead?

GARDAÍ are searching for the owner of wedding ring that was found at Dunmore Cove last Sunday.

The man’s wedding ring –  which is engraved with ‘I love you Sinead’ – was found by a man using a metal detector while at the  cove on Sunday. It was handed in to Clonakilty Garda Station and is now in safe keeping in the property stores at Bandon Garda Station.

A garda spokesperson said it would be great to re-unite the ring with its owner and at the time of going to press the owner still had not claimed the ring.

The post gained a lot of attention when it was posted on the Garda Síochána Southern Region Facebook page on Monday with some humorous comments. 

The person managing the page posted: ‘I’m shooting for the stars on this one. I’m a romantic.’
