Locals in Glengarriff have spoken of their dismay following the theft of three swing seats from the local playground.
The playground had only recently undergone a major refurbishment and new equipment and railings had been installed by Cork County Council.
However, it was noticed on Monday morning, February 18th that a basket swing and two junior swings had been stolen. Speaking to The Southern Star, Grainne Goff said that locals can’t believe it.
‘The playground was looking bright and new, and people can’t believe such a thing happened here. It’s a very busy playground and well used,’ said Grainne. Gardaí in Bantry are investigating (027-20860).
