Gardaí seized approximately €18,300 worth of suspected cannabis plants and cannabis herb in Dunmanway yesterday.
FOR the second time in a week a sizeable amount of cannabis plants have been seized in Dunmanway.
Gardaí seized seized approximately €18,300 worth of suspected cannabis plants and cannabis herb following a search at a two houses in Dunmanway yesterday afternoon.
At approximately 5pm, gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by the Southern Region Dog Unit, executed a search warrant at the two houses.
During the course of the search, gardaí seized 21 mature cannabis plants seized worth an estimated €17,000, cannabis herb worth €1,300 and a tazer. The suspected drugs will now be sent for analysis.
No arrests have been made but Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry.
This follows on from another seizure of approximately €13,600 worth of cannabis plants from two other houses in Dunmanway last Saturday.
