BACK IN THE DAY: The Southern Star’s celebration of West Cork nostalgia in all its forms

This week’s picture dates back to 1982, and was taken at the debs ball of the Convent of Mercy, Clonakilty in Decemer of that year. . The ball took place in Fernhill House Hotel, and the picture was sent in by class member Jackie O’Leary, who is organising a reunion in the Emmet Hotel, Clonakilty. It is 40 years since the class did their Leaving Cert in 1983. On November 10th, members of the class will reunite for the get together in the Emmet Hotel, Clonakilty.
