Restaurant Chestnut is an intimate, 18 seater restaurant set in a character filled former pub in Ballydehob.

Award winning chef, Rob Krawczyk, grew up in a home in Schull that revolved around the kitchen, influenced by his parent’s strong culinary and artistic heritage.

After living away, West Corks’ rich larder drew Rob home to open up his restaurant in the heart of this beautiful area.

Restaurant Chestnut's menu, inspired by nature, is ever evolving and designed around the best of the season's ingredients. Local herbs, flowers, vegetables, meat and fish are sourced, picked, grown and foraged from West Cork. Dishes are presented as close to nature as possible, allowing an honest encounter between Chef and diner.

Restaurant Chestnut opened its doors in March 2018. In October 2018, Restaurant Chestnut was awarded one Michelin Star for Ireland & GB 2019. In 2019, we retained our Michelin Guide Star for Ireland & GB 2020.
