Bantry Credit Union is a local, community-based financial co-operative. Owned by its members and run on a not-for-profit basis, the credit union provides credit and other financial services to its members.
We cover a large part of West Cork, from Beara to Ballingeary and from Sheep’s Head to Drimoleague. We have over 12,000 members and we manage over €80 million in assets.
We specialise in lending. It’s why we exist! While our strengths traditionally were in the personal loans market, we now also offer business and agri loan products.
We employ local, professional and friendly staff who deal directly with you. All decisions are made locally by qualified professionals – whose job is to put you first!
We also like to keep things simple and transparent. What you see is what you get!
So, there are no administration or arrangement fees or charges. The application process is straightforward. Decisions are made quickly. There are no penalties for making additional payments or clearing a loan early. And we approve well over 95% of loan applications.
