Pat Falvey will help West Cork audience achieve their goals

LEGENDARY Cork born adventurer, Pat Falvey will be coming to Skibbereen in November in conjunction with Southern Star Events, where he will host an evening entitled ‘From Everest to Antartica and surviving death.’

Pat has summited Everest twice, trekked unaided to the South Pole, twice completed the ‘7 Summits Challenge’ and lived with 32 different tribes around the world, amongst many other hair-raising and dangerous expeditions, as well as setting up and running several successful businesses. 

He will give a live presentation and recount his stories of survival against the odds during his life as an extreme adventurer for over 30 years in some of the most remote and dangerous environments on earth.

Speaking to The Southern Star, Pat, who is based in Kerry, said: ‘I’m really looking forward to coming to West Cork and to Skibbereen. It’s a beautiful part of the world and I know a good few people in the area so it will be a great night. 

‘I’ll demonstrate to people that they, too, have the power and inner strength to explore and fulfil their own ambitions and dreams, whatever they may be. I’ve nearly lost my life on several occasions, I’ve experienced boom and bust in business and I’ve lost friends on expeditions. 

‘But on the other hand I’ve stood on “top of the world”, I’ve seen some of most amazing places on earth and had incredible adventures with incredible people from Ireland and all around the world and I love sharing these experiences and what I’ve learnt with an audience. 

‘For some people it may be starting their own business, for others it may be running a 5km race or climbing Carrauntoohill, for others it may be Everest ... it doesn’t matter.

‘We all have our own dreams and ambitions but often we all have fears and reasons not to do something, I’ll show people how they can drive through those fears and achieve their goals.’

The event will take place on Thursday November 14th at 7.30pm at The West Cork Hotel, Skibbereen and tickets (which are limited) are on sale now, priced €25.
