Two changes for Cork ahead of huge Round 4 SFC qualifier

THOMAS Clancy and Kevin O’Driscoll have both been drafted in to the starting team to face Laois in the All-Ireland SFC Round 4 qualifier this Saturday evening in Semple Stadium, Thurles (5pm).

Clonakilty man Clancy missed the recent Munster final but has recovered to take his position at centre back while Tadhg MacCarthaigh’s Kevin O’Driscoll, a second-half sub against Kerry, has been brought into the half-forward line. Both Paul Kerrigan and Tomás Clancy drop to the bench.

Carbery Rangers’ John O’Rourke, who missed the Munster final defeat with a hamstring injury, is not included in the panel, but there was better news, as the hamstring injury suffered by defender Nathan Walsh against Kerry is not as bad as first feared and he starts.

Also, Eoghan McSweeney, another to sit out the Munster final, has recovered from a groin injury and is named amongst the subs.
