O’DONOVAN Rossa and Dohenys will meet in the Carbery U21A football championship final this Sunday in Castlehaven.

The Rossas – last season’s U21B champions – were the first team to book their place in the divisional decider after they beat neighbours Castlehaven by 1-12 to 1-8 on Saturday in Leap. Dylan Hourihane scored 1-8, including a crucial penalty in the 50th minute that stretched his side’s lead to four points.

On Sunday, Mark Buckley kicked 11 points as Dohenys got the better of Carbery Rangers by 0-20 to 1-13 in Castlehaven. This was an epic. Dohenys led 0-9 to 0-7 at half time, Carbery Rangers came back and led by one point in the second half before Dohenys finished strong to advance to the final.
