Over 120 paintings will go on sale this Friday and Saturday at Enable Ireland's Lavanagh Centre in Curraheen to raise funds towards the development of the new children's centre.

A SALE of original watercolour and oil paintings will take place at Enable Ireland’s Lavanagh Centre in Curraheen, Cork on Friday November 8th and Saturday November 9th with all proceeds from the sale of artwork going towards the development of the new children's centre.

A voluntary art group has created over 120 paintings which they have generously donated to Enable Ireland .Enable Ireland still needs the public’s help to raise just over €1 million to ensure this special Cork project, which provides supports to over 800 children with physical disabilities, is finished as soon as possible.

The group of artists has been painting together for years and are excited to show their work.

Speaking about the event Trudy McQuaid Fundraising Coordinator said:  'We are so grateful for the support of this group of artists. They have been working on this project for months and will have a variety of different styles and subjects on display. It is also the first time that we will be welcoming the public into our new centre.'

The paintings will be available to buy on Friday November 8th from 6.30pm – 8.30pm  with a wine and cheese reception to launch the event. The sale will continue from 9am to 5pm on Saturday 9th. There is a variety of prices and styles to suit everyone and the paintings are sure to be fantastic presents for Christmas, birthdays and special occasions.
