A 120-year-old barn in Lisnabrinna near Ballygurteen, which once housed pigs, chickens and grain, has been given new life as an art studio and is the venue for an exhibition this month.

The exhibition opens on Friday 13th (private view from 6.30-8.30pm) and features new work from West Cork artists Sara Hodson and Susan O’Regan.

Susan is continually drawn to the landscape and coastal regions, while Sara is well known in equestrian circles and her paintings are commissioned worldwide. She is also holding a sketching morning in Skibbereen on Wednesday September 11th as part of the Taste of West Cork Festival.

The exhibition will be opened by Michael O’Neill, mayor of Clonakilty, and is open to the public Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th 10.30– 5pm and the following week by appointment.
