Three in custody in Bandon after Macroom theft

GARDAÍ have confirmed that they are investigating a theft from a shop in Middle Square in Macroom.

A number of males entered a shop and stole property, and they then fled the scene in a red Ford Focus.

This car was later located at Kilbrogan Hill in Bandon where one male was arrested at the scene.

Shortly after, two men were located in Bandon and detained.

As a result, the three men, all in their 20s, are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Bandon Garda Station.

The property was recovered and investigations are ongoing.
