Video: Rescued kittens need a new home

We have been sent this video by Southern Star reader Julia Bertram.

Julia is a member of the West Cork Animal Welfare Group (WCAWG) who were alerted after three female cats and their 12 kittens were left alone when their owner moved away.

Julia is currently fostering the family of cats and says: 'these three young mothers, had 12 kittens between them and are taking excellent care of their babies. They share all the work, every mom is feeding every kitten. The little ones are thriving and very healthy.'

'They are about six weeks old and clearly found their feet and sense of curiosity. They will all be up for rehoming in a few weeks. The mothers also.' 

Julia also said that ideally the three mothers would be re-homed together, as they are very close to each other, but accepts that as this is a rescue situation, it's very unlikely that somebody would take all three. 

West Cork Animal Welfare Group saves, rehabilitates and re-homes animals in West Cork and is in its 20th year this year. Cats and dogs are looked after until a good home is found. Home checks are mandatory and all animals leave vaccinated, neutered and treated for worms.
