Delegates on the day will hear presentations from Tara McCarthy CEO of Bord Bia, Kevin Curran, head of enterprise, Local Enterprise Office, and Oliver Mangan AIB chief economist.

Speaking in advance of the event, AIB Clonakilty branch manager Stephen Rowe said: 'Food production is an integral part of the economy in Cork and particularly here in West Cork. We have an eco-system here in West Cork that contains some world famous food producers. There is a tradition and culture here that has inspired many local food producers.

'We are hoping that our West Cork Food Seminar will be a practical, informative and relevant event for all food producers, making inferences to the opportunities and challenges ahead and challenging them how best to position themselves for the future.'

The event will begin at 3pm and refreshments will be served from 2:30pm.

Those looking to attend should RSVP by the 8th April to Margaret McCarthy by calling 086 0404147 or by email to [email protected]
