HAVING raised over €10,000 last year for local charities organisers of Bandon Tractor, Truck, Vintage Car and Jeep Run are hoping to top that figure when the event takes place in Bandon on Sunday, January 20th.

‘The proceeds for this event will be going to towards the Development Fund for St Peter’s Church, BASC (Bandon Area Special Children) and Down Syndrome Cork,’ said organiser Jean Deane.

‘Interested parties can register on the day at The Old Still Bar from 11am and the run starts at 1pm and it’s €20 per vehicle (to enter). The route that we have planned out is similar to last year’s event and will be local enough. There will be refreshments before and after the run with hot food being served in the bar afterwards.’

Organisers will also be selling tickets for a raffle to be held on the day and members of the public can buy them in advance in the main foyer of Riverview Shopping Centre in Bandon on Saturday, January 12th.

‘We have some fabulous prizes including first prize of €300 from Dan Seaman Motors, second prize of a €200 voucher from Copper Grove and third prize is a €140 voucher for Inchydoney Lodge & Spa.

Anyone who is interested in participating in the run can contact Jean Deane on 086-2403630 or Richard Kingston on 086-6015621
