Nathan meets his No 1 fan – again!

WHEN Nathan Carter arrived in Bandon before Christmas to play a sold-out concert in St Patrick’s Church – as a fundraiser for the town’s new business association ¬– he made sure to meet one of his biggest fans, 20-year-old Jennifer Payne. 

In fact, this was the tenth time the music lover – who is a wheelchair user – got to meet the singer.

‘Jennifer adores Nathan and because they had met before Nathan recognised her and gave her a kiss as she was at the front of the stage,’ Jennifer’s dad Sammy Payne told The Southern Star.

‘He took time out to meet her as he has done many times in the past and they got their photo taken together. Jennifer is fully convinced she is marrying Nathan and he has said yes in the past – it’s the kind of thing they have been saying every time they meet!’

With her 21st approaching on February 1st Jennifer even personally invited him to her birthday.

‘She absolutely loved her evening and can’t wait to see Nathan again very soon.’ This isn’t the first time Jennifer has met her music idols as Skibbereen’s Brian Deady recently paid a surprise visit to her home too.

Meanwhile, Nathan wowed the audience at the concert and put on a stunning show as did Bandon’s own Angela Ryan.

The event was a fundraiser for the Bandon Business Association (BBA), which was launched in September.
