Gardai in West Cork have appealed to the public for assistance following a serious assault in Castletownbere which left a 49 year old man with potentially life changing injuries.
The Eastern European man suffered serious head and other injuries when he was assaulted in a house at Came Point in the West Cork town sometime around 10.30pm on Sunday.
Gardai have appealed to anyone who heard any disturbance or noticed anything unusual between 10pm and 11pm in the Came Point area of Castletownbere to contact them at Bantry Station on 027-20860.
