KINSALE has been described as a ‘role model’ for what should be happening in every other community.

That’s according to presidential candidate and entrepreneur Sean Gallagher, who launched the latest edition of the guide Doing Business in Kinsale at the Blue Haven Hotel in Kinsale last Thursday night.

Mr Gallagher, who is no stranger to Kinsale and is currently on the campaign trail to secure the Áras, praised the spirit of the business community in the town.

‘I feel a real sense of pride here tonight to launch this guide that is geared at entrepreneurship and education. Kinsale is a role model for what should be happening in every other community in Ireland, and it’s all about self-determination,’ said Mr Gallagher.

This is the second edition of this popular guide and according to Cormac Fitzgerald, of Fitzgerald & Partners who produced the book, it showcases Kinsale as both a place to live, work, set up a business, or visit.

‘The themes we selected this year were entrepreneurship and education, both very important items for the future of Kinsale and we thought it was very apt that we invited one of the country’s leading entrepreneurs, Sean Gallagher, to launch the 2018/ 2019 guide,’ said Mr Fitzgerald.

‘Kinsale is very fortunate to have superb educators at both primary, secondary and also at further education levels. Kinsale Community School, for example, is an integral part of the Kinsale brand and its wider community. They provide a world-class education to their students with great sport facilities on site.’

Also speaking at the launch, Senator Tim Lombard  said that Kinsale promotes itself well.

The 72-page, full-colour guide is produced by Fitzgerald & Partners, with design and print by Southern Star Creative. It is available in hard copy and digital editions, and features contributions from various business commentators, politicians and local stakeholders.
