Skibb auctioneer showcases town's 1GB connectivity

A SKIBBEREEN auctioneer is showcasing his hometown – and West Cork – as a great place to do business online, in a new video for Vodafone.

Morgan O’Driscoll, who is a major player in the online art auction world, features in the high-end video which was filmed throughout West Cork, including on the streets of Skibbereen and at the Baltimore beacon.

In the video Morgan explains how the town’s 1GB connectivity has meant he can do business from his office in West Cork, and how access to the web is now instant. Large online brochures which used to take a long time to upload can now be uploaded to his website ‘in seconds’ leaving him more time to concentrate on other parts of the business, he says.

He finishes the video saying: ‘Skibbereen and West Cork is a wonderful community and West Cork is second to none – why would you want to be anywhere else?’
