Diplo video showcases Baltimore and the Beacon

AMERICAN dj and producer Diplo’s latest video, featuring Danish singer MØ, highlights the beauty of West Cork.

Filmed almost entirely in Baltimore a few weeks ago, with the aid of Skibbereen production firm Stori Creative, the video for Sun In Our Eyes showcases the Beacon and Baltimore Harbour, with much of it filmed on local vessel Sabrina II.

Diplo is one of the biggest players in US dance music and has worked with Gwen Stefani, MIA, Britney Spears, Madonna, Shakira, Beyoncé, No Doubt, Justin Bieber, Usher, Snoop Dogg and Chris Brown.

One of his most successful recent projects was the hit Lean On as a member of the trio which comprises Major Lazer.

NME.com reported MØ as saying: ‘The video for ‘Sun In Our Eyes’ shows a gang of people who have chosen to break off from society and create their own world. Peter Pan and the lost boys – sailing instead of flying – setting out for distant shores in hopes of finding and living out their dreams. Collectively they are rejecting the harsh reality of the lives and the world they used to live in.’  

‘Our team at Stori Creative were delighted to work on the production of: ‘MØ & Diplo - Sun in Our Eyes’ music video shot in Baltimore,’ the Stori team said on their Facebook page this week.

‘It was great to work with such a super international team and proves what a dynamic location Ireland is for shooting! Especially West Cork.’

Former Ludgate digital hub boss Grainne Dywer is one of the founding members of Stori.
