Cork County Council is to close a number of West Cork roads for resurfacing in August.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cork County Council is considering under Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, the closing to public traffic of the following roads for the dates and for the times stated:-

Road Resurfacing Works – R585 Beal Na Blath 

From Monday 13th August 2018 to Friday 24th August 2018 

(08.00hrs to 20.00hrs - Daily Closure)

Roads to be closed:

R 585 Beal na Blath to Poulanargid Cross

Alternative Route:

Eastbound Traffic: At the junction of the R-585 and R-587 at Gloun, follow the R-587 towards Kilmichael. Travel through Dromcarra and onto Toons Bridge where traffic will join the R-584. Follow the R-584 towards the junction with the N22 at Hartnetts Cross. Follow the N22 East through Lissarda. At the junction of the N22 and the R-590, take the R-590 for Crookstown.

The same route applies in reverse for west bound traffic.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that this proposed closure is to facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.

Any person interested may lodge an objection in writing to the closing of these roads, with the undersigned not later than Wednesday 25th July 2018 at 5.00pm.

In order for Cork County Council to consider your submission/objection to this Temporary Road Closure, it may be necessary to forward same (including your personal information) to the applicant. Under the General Data Protection Regulations, your consent is required to transfer your personal information to third parties. Accordingly, please indicate in your submission if you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the applicant
