SIR – What is happening in Gaza is total murder by Israeli armed forces with weapons supplied by the US. Why does the world not bring sanctions right away against these aggressors who are murdering men women and children?
They have a right to protest, having had their land taken from them by Israel. We must stand up and be counted right away and expel the Israeli Ambassador and let the world know we will not stand idly by while Palestinian people are slaughtered in their own land.
President Donald Trump betrays a terrifying ignorance of long-term costs by declaring it a great day for Israel, while scores of Palestinians lay dead and thousands wounded and he appears oblivious to long-term consequences.
Diplomacy is supposed to prevent war, not cause it.
